In keeping with our efforts to provide training that is accessible for everyone, MARCOM has recently released three Spanish-language courses on aerial and scissor lifts!

"Scissor Lifts in Industrial and Construction Environments" discusses the OSHA and ANSI standards for Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), the hazards associated with scissor lifts, the types of inspections that should be made before using a lift, the proper way to set up and operate a scissor lift, and how to work safely on the ground near a lift.

"Aerial Lifts in Industrial and Construction Environments: Types of Lifts and Their Hazards" examines the various types of aerial lifts, how to identify and avoid the hazards that are associated with using them, OSHA and ANSI standards for MEWPs, developing a "Safe Use Program" for lift equipment and the training requirements for operators and occupants of aerial lifts.

"Aerial Lifts in Industrial and Construction Environments: Working With and Around a Lift" reviews the criteria for inspecting a lift and the area around it, equipment and safe work practices that you should use when you're working with a lift, procedures for raising and lowering the work platform of a lift and the hazards of working on the ground near an aerial lift.

These courses are a great resource for Spanish-speaking employees, and they are currently available online in Full-Length Interactive, "Adaptive Learning" and Micro-Learning formats as well as Video On Demand (VOD) for streaming over the internet, as well as DVD that can be played locally at your facility.
