What Is CourseWorks®?

CourseWorks® is an easy-to-use suite of programs, including a complete Learning Management System (LMS), that allows you to:

The CourseWorks® Application Suite

Setup

As it's name implies, Setup is the CourseWorks® installation and configuration tool. It's designed to make these potential chores a breeze, even for computer novices.

Setup permits a number of installation choices, ranging from CD-only play to full network installation.

The configuration options include:

Customized design of course pages
Clock display, for timed courses
An e-mail feature, allowing students to contact their training administrators
The ability to print student notes/comments
Instant display of test results to students
The automatic printing of personalized student certificates, upon successful course completion

TrackPro

TrackPro is the CourseWorks® database-management tool. It allows administrators to:

Group courses into curricula
Schedule courses
Enroll students
Track course progress and test scores

TrackPro also includes a powerful reporting tool that permits administrators to view data on:

Courses
Students
Tests
Individual test questions

TrackPro includes a number of preformatted reports, and permits users to create their own customized reports.

Deliver

Students use Deliver to take CD-ROM courses. The easy-to-understand Deliver interface makes selecting a course...navigating from one part of a course to another...and taking quizzes or tests a simple matter of point-and-click.

Deliver also allows you to identify each student. As a result, you can track when employees take courses, and how well they perform.

Build

Build is a unique multimedia authoring tool designed specifically to create or modify training programs. It allows users to easily assemble or rearrange training modules (called "blocks") containing still graphics, audio and video, as well as quizzes related to each block's subject matter.

Using Build, you can also customize courses produced by MARCOM, replacing information in the original course with content specific to your organization's needs.

CourseWorks® also enables administrators to log and track all quiz and test information. The program will even write reports based upon student performance. See TrackPro for more details about these functions.

NOTE: Build is not included in the basic CourseWorks® Application Suite. It is an additional purchase.

CourseWorks is not currently supported in the Windows Vista environment. Look for a Vista-compatible version to be released late summer or early fall 2008.
